The ASSIOMA DUO-Shi's Q-factor is 65mm. Since typical values are around +52 to 54mm, this might be a concern, especially for cyclists whose riding position is completely fixed. Favero certainly considered this an issue during development, but research targeting many cyclists revealed that \"a narrow Q-factor is not necessarily justice,\" and that the Q-factor varies among individuals depending on their physique (height, pelvic width, etc.). The research concluded that the majority of surveyed cyclists could accept a 65mm Q-factor. The ASSIOMA DUO-Shi's sensor may look similar to the conventional product compatible with LOOK-type pedals, but it is actually a different product with several modifications. Among numerous changes, the ASSIOMA-Shi's sensor undergoes a different calibration (adjustment) at the factory compared to previous models to ensure compatibility with Shimano pedals. Another point is that the oil retainer is bonded to the pedal axle. Since high measurement accuracy is the lifeline of ASSIOMA products, this can be seen as a result of ensuring that Shimano pedal users' expectations are not betrayed. Naturally, this is a measure taken by the earnest Favero.
